August 13th, 2012. I don’t know when it happened, but apparently I can’t get enough spicy food. I used to hate it! I was completely intolerant, but now, the first thing I ask for at a restaurant is hot sauce (I know, I’m a culinary insult). At home, I add chili flakes to everything. Tonight, I had dinner at Terroni in Toronto and they have their own chili pepper condiment, peperoncino piccante, that they serve in a little white ramekin and I think it might be the best thing I’ve ever tasted. It is salty, aromatic and has just the right amount of heat. I smothered my pizza in this stuff tonight, SO GOOD.
